The 2017 Katherine B. Snow Research Award was awarded to LTE Backhaul Modeling: Comparative Analysis of LTE Backhaul Cost Using Different Local Access Networks by Adnan Mian of NAVSEA and David Reed of the University of Colorado Boulder.
The second finalist in the paper competition was Enabling Distributed Storm Water Monitoring for Smart Cities by Julio Arauz and Amy Lynch of Ohio University.
The “Katherine B. Snow Best Research Paper Award” was endowed by the Snow family in honor of their beloved wife and mother, Katherine B. Snow. The winner receives a cash prize.
